About me
Fa Li is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at the Jackson School of Geosciences at the UT Austin. Before joining UT Austin, he was a postdoctoral scholar at Stanford University and a researcher at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. His research focuses on carbon-water-energy cycles and hydroclimatic extremes such as wildfires. By integrating AI, Earth observations, and Earth system models, he develops innovative approaches to monitor, predict, and mitigate hydroclimatic risks affecting both human and natural systems.
