I study and facilitate the use of Earth science data and visualization technologies, focusing on spatial cognition, reasoning, equity, and an Earth-from-space perspective. Many moons ago, I taught middle and high school science. I am here to learn about new datasets and tools that can be applied to formal and informal K-12 education settings. In particular, I am looking for “data stories”. I am also interested in new developments related to Earth Science data accessibility and usability. I am an active member of the ESIP Education Committee. We offer short (15-minute) webinars in an Out2Lunch series. We curate education resources via our developing website. We facilitate in-person and online professional development at the annual ESIP summer meeting and in other venues. Please come by our sessions today! We seek Educators, Data Scientists, Data Providers, Tool Developers, and anyone else interested to become involved with our efforts. I am here to network with you and convince you to join us at our next ESIP Education Committee meeting! Please email me at
